I could go on about dA's categorical system, but I won't. Suffice to say, this is as close as I could get to "book cover" or "dust jacket."
This is a book cover design I did for Peter Cushing's Autobiography
and Past Forgetting
I had purchased the book, and after two months, finally found it in my possession. The thing is, I'm rather hopeless in some respects and, while so far the book is AMAZING, I had to wonder how the cover designer, Susan Svehla, tricked anyone into letting her design ANYTHING. The cover of this lovely collection of memoirs a is hideously garish and badly photoshopped treatment.
I decided to channel my design oriented indignation into my own take on a more appropriate cover design. Something a little more classy and subtle. And not so eye watering. I hope.

*Edit: Sorry, I keep futzing with it. I'm done now. I think.
